Terms of Use
Last updated: October 30, 2026
1. Acceptance
By accessing or using OpenFetch, you agree to these Terms and all applicable laws. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Permitted use
OpenFetch is a technical utility for resolving links to media that you own or are otherwise authorized to access or download. You must have the necessary permission, license, or legal right before saving or redistributing media.
3. Prohibited use
- Downloading, archiving, or distributing copyrighted media without permission or a lawful exception.
- Circumventing DRM, access controls, authentication, paywalls, or technical protection measures.
- Submitting credentials, private URLs, unlawful content, malware, or abusive requests.
- Overloading, probing, scraping, or disrupting the service or a third-party provider.
- Misrepresenting your source or bypassing a source website's stated restrictions where applicable law requires them.
4. Availability
OpenFetch is provided on an “as available” basis. Resolved links may expire, change, or become unavailable. Source platforms and extraction providers may limit or block access without notice.
5. No hosting or ownership claim
OpenFetch generally does not store the submitted source media. URLs and metadata are resolved from third-party services. Media remains the property of its respective rights holders and is not owned or licensed to users by OpenFetch.
6. User responsibility
You are solely responsible for your use of the service and any content you download, store, or share. You must comply with copyright law, privacy law, source-site terms, and platform restrictions applicable to you.
7. Intellectual property
The OpenFetch name and interface may be protected by applicable intellectual property rights. Third-party names, trademarks, and media remain the property of their respective owners.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
The service is provided without warranties of any kind, including implied warranties of availability, fitness, accuracy, merchantability, or non-infringement. Use of resolved links is at your own risk.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, OpenFetch and its contributors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, content, access, or profits arising from use of the service.
10. Copyright notices
Copyright complaints may be submitted under the Copyright and DMCA Policy. OpenFetch may remove or disable links or features that are identified as unauthorized or unlawful, subject to applicable law.
11. Changes and termination
These Terms may change, and access may be suspended or discontinued at any time. Continued use after an update means the revised Terms apply to subsequent use.
12. Contact
Questions about these Terms may be submitted through the OpenFetch GitHub repository.
