Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 30, 2026
1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how OpenFetch handles information when you use the website. OpenFetch is designed as a link-processing utility, not an account-based service.
2. Information you provide
When you submit a public media URL, OpenFetch sends that URL and your selected download mode to the OpenFetch resolver. The URL is used to locate the media supplied by a third-party site. It is not shown publicly by this application.
3. Information stored in your browser
OpenFetch stores two types of browser data using localStorage:
- Your selected light or dark theme.
- Up to eight recent resolved results, including titles, URLs, formats, and timestamps.
This browser data remains on your device until you clear it through your browser settings. The application provides no account synchronization.
4. Server and infrastructure processing
Requests pass through Cloudflare Pages and may reach the OpenFetch backend, Cobalt, DramaFren, or yt-dlp extraction services depending on the URL and resolver routing. These infrastructure providers may automatically process connection information such as IP addresses, browser data, timestamps, requested URLs, and security or error logs. Such processing is governed by the provider's own privacy and retention practices.
5. Third-party content and services
OpenFetch displays Google Fonts. Opening a resolved media link or third-party source may cause that provider to receive normal web connection information, including your IP address and browser information. Media providers have their own privacy policies and terms.
6. Cookies and analytics
OpenFetch does not deliberately set authentication cookies or use first-party analytics cookies. Cloudflare and third-party services may process technical data or set their own cookies where applicable. See the Cookie Policy.
7. Data retention
Recent-result history is retained only in your browser. The application source does not include a database of submitted URLs or resolved result history. Provider infrastructure may retain temporary logs according to its own policies and operational requirements.
8. Security
OpenFetch uses HTTPS for its website and resolver where deployment supports it. No internet transmission is completely secure, and users should avoid submitting private or confidential URLs.
9. Your choices
You may clear OpenFetch theme and history data by removing this site's local storage in your browser. You may stop using the service at any time. Clipboard access is requested only when you activate the Paste control and is handled by your browser.
10. Contact and privacy requests
For privacy questions or requests concerning this repository, open an issue in the OpenFetch GitHub repository. Do not include passwords, private keys, or sensitive personal information in a public issue.
11. Changes
This policy may be updated as features, providers, or legal requirements change. The date above identifies the latest revision.
